Tuition Principles

On the previous page you learned a little about me and my passion for music. It's these principles that I try to instill into anyone I teach, be that on a professional or casual basis.

However, in order to learn, one needs an instrument, an undisturbed place to practice, and a ton of dedication and commitment.
Learning to play music is a genuine challenge to anyone, no matter what their ability level. But, it doesn't have to be hard work, in fact the very notion of "practice" is to develop muscle tone and memory skills - this is why children who learn to play an instrument at an early age are also generally more advanced and motivated in other areas of academia. Further, learning a band instrument reinforces peer-bonding as well as a sense of belonging and acceptance - it's a sad truism that school Band Programs are being axed daily. Many local communities have established Concert Bands of varying skill levels, and I'll be featuring some of these as I discover them in Nova Scotia.

On the next few pages I'll be taking you through the variety of keyboards - old favourites and new creations.....
Please click on the menu bar to the left, to discover more about the instrument of your choice.
